IS THERE A SAFE AND RELIABLE SOURCE FOR DOWNLOADING FREE SOFTWARE?

I hit proven effort free code downloads from bearshare but when the downloads neared completion, my virus endorsement caught a problem. The aforementioned abstract happened 3 to 4 times.

    There are many. My personal favorite is http://www.download.com.
    Once there I search for “freeware” for the Windows XP platforn, and it shows me all the latest freeware. Try it. Maybe you will like it. Maybe not. Costs nothing .
